Finding Educational Resources for Teaching Medicine

Open Educational Resources

Do you need some new educational resources for your course? Perhaps a video or image?  Maybe a simulation?  Text that you can edit to reflect your own teaching style?  Open Education Resources (OER) are supplemental materials that are freely available for instructors to reuse, remix, revise, and redistribute.

In this workshop you will learn what OERs are, where and how to find them, and how they can best be applied to your teaching practice. We will explore various OER resources and examples of how they can enhance your teaching.  Finally, attendees will find OERs relevant to their discipline and discuss instructional strategies to integrate them into their courses.

This session is jointly presented by the Quinnipiac University Libraries and Academic Technology.  This session will be one hour and attendees should bring a working laptop.
