Professor or Architecture, Assistant Director of the School or Architeture at the University of Florida, and Director of CityLab-Orlando, Frank Bosworth will give a general lecture describing high impact learning practices including some examples of how these practices can be used in the educational setting.

A. Improving Learning and Research with Library and Academic Technology Resources - EC 205

• Tour of new databases and multimedia resources
• Overview of mobile resources
• Preview of the new technologies and learning spaces coming soon
B. Watering the Seeds of Resilience: The Science and Art of Purpose, Empathy, and Compassion. - EC 212
Presented by Anna-leila Williams
In this workshop, participants will explore the evidence for, and then engage in, two experiential classroom activities that can be used to promote resiliency among health professional students.
The two activities are:
1) Setting the Course – skills to help one articulate a sense of purpose as a health professional; and 2) Hearing the Patient’s Voice in Literature – skills to enhance empathy via narrative medicine methods.
C. Grant Resources, Support, and SPIN Grant Search Tool

This hands on workshop will review the grant resources and processes at Quinnipiac University. Bring your laptop and your ideas for scholarship and projects and learn to use SPIN for grant research.
