The development of expertise requires students to be engaged with the problems and methodologies of their discipline. Undergraduate participation in research projects and in the production of creative works are approaches to accomplishing this. This session is open to those engaged in undergraduate research and those yet to be. We will discuss what research means across disciplines, present examples of research and works from various areas of study, and examine models for facilitating projects and recruiting under-graduates.
