Transformation is iterative. We do, we reflect, and we make adjustments to those processes. This is learning, and it rarely happens all at once. The more we pay attention to our learning progress and effortfully care for it, the more likely we are to effect significant personal, academic, and professional change.
Portfolios are one impactful way in which we can capture this process as it unfolds to better understand how we learn. There isn't just one way to construct a portfolio, nor is that work really ever finished.
Academic Technology and The Center for Teaching and Learning invite you to join us as we examine and discuss different aspects of how a portfolio might be built, developed, and shared for learning purposes. With the help of faculty presenters, student examples, and research, we aim to highlight the pedagogy of this transformative learning method and explore technology that can bring it to life.
This half-day event will also include an optional 2-hour open office hours and playground opportunity in the afternoon for you to ask Academic Technology questions about ePortfolios or other topics.
